Personal Effects

Personal effects as defined by dictionary.com are private articles that is used intimately by an individual. For example, things such as clothing, toilet materials and etc. In travelling, it is important that you are well prepared. You don't want your awaited journey with a frustrating start. Airlines have strict policies with regards to baggages. Mostly domestic flights allow only a check-in baggage and one carry-on but for international flights they allow an extra bag for personal articles.

As an airplane passenger, you don't want to waste your money paying for the excess baggage. You should be smart in choosing, organizing and packing your things. Whenever I pack my things, I make sure that my mom sees it because I'm not really good with choosing the things to bring. I don't really want that much stuff with me, but then I mostly bring the non-essential ones. So with that reason, it leaves me with no choice but to call for help.

My mom praises me for being so organize in putting my things in the luggage. I fold and roll my clothes into its smallest and I make sure I maximize the space without exceeding the weight limit.
I usually put my clothes, shoes, chargers, some gifts to family and friends and heavy things in my check-in baggage. In my carry-on I put some more clothes, gadgets and things that need to be within  reach and attended to. For example, extra t-shirts, cellphones, laptops, etc.

Everytime I travel, I always have with me a small bag. A size enough to put on my shoulder and hide under my jacket.  As what I said earlier, Airlines have strict policies with regards to baggages but lucky me I have never been questioned by an airport personnel. My small bag is like a security blanket. I don't know why is that but I feel safe with it plus I get to put important things there.

Things inside my small bag:

Tooth brush

I know that there is a toothbrush included in the travelling kit but it is better prepared.

Hair brush

After a long sleep, everyone's hair is messy. You wouldn't want to scare the passenger beside you.

Earphones

Earphones on airplanes sometimes doesn't work, doesn't fit or is not free. You have to pay extra for it just to listen to the radio or watch t.v.

Gum

For me, gum is very important. I need to chew on it before take-off and landing to avoid that popping sound in my ears.

Passport, Flight documents and Pen

I really advice having your passport and flight documents with-in reach to lessen the hassle of your whole flight. A pen is important too because before landing on your destination you have to fill-up some forms to present on the immigration.

Prepared is my word for a happy travel. Wherever I am I always see to myself that I have everything I need. I want to spend my time doing happy things rather than wasting my time on something because I forgot to pack what is important.
