How to Prepare for Mexico 101...cont

Since you can never be too prepared on a trip to Mexico I'm back with more advice! In my last blog post I talked about pre tanning before vacation and also switching up the bathing suit styles to achieve your best possible tan. Moving on from tanning related issues this next one will probably affect more girls than guys but it's the effect Mexican humidity had on hair.

Post straighten...
So being a white girl with naturally wavy hair humidity isn't really my friend. Some people may remember the Friends episode where they went on vacations and Monica's hair grew immensely into this frizz ball, well anyways that's the idea. Having never been to the east coast of Mexico before I had no idea what I was getting myself into. Not to mention my hair was at a really awkward growing out length at the time so that didn't help at all. First off once I stepped off the plane and was in the airport I could feel my hair changing and I knew this was a bad sign. After I showered I would blow dry my hair and straighten it. In the room it looks alright, definitely doesn't feel as nice as it does back in Canada but I thought it would do. Once I stepped foot out of the room it started to grow I could feel it. And not grow in length it grew in width. It was like there was a Chia Pet on my head! So if any ladies out there have this same issue I strongly recommend getting a Bumble and Bumble blow out it leaves the hair naturally straight and will help control those curls while on vacation. Because lets get serious no one really wants to spend their time worrying about a Chia pet on their head.
